On October 2, 5 youth, 1 lady and a couple dedicated their lives to serve the Lord Jesus

The Maranatha Christian Church in New Jersey celebrated the water baptism of eight new members on October 2, 2021. Five youth, one lady and a couple were baptized during a special service held at the Newark Church, with 250 total participants.

The church members transformed the parking area, located beneath the temple floor, into a baptistery. According to Pastor Gerson Beluci Miguel, the whole congregation was mobilized with the preparations, from assembling equipment, sound, musical instruments, seats and others. Prevention measures against the spread of COVID-19 were implemented.

“It is gratifying to watch the determination of our youth and of the new lives that have joined us during the pandemic. Our Evangelistic work didn’t stop, God has given us great experiences during the recent months, and we are harvesting the fruits of our prayers”, said Pastor Gerson Beluci Miguel.

Right after the baptism, the congregation participated in a Supper Service.

The Maranatha Christian Church in Newark is located at 95-97 St Francis St.,
Newark, NJ 07105, with in-person services on Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30 pm; Sunday Bible School on Sundays at 10:30 am; and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8 pm.

Oito batizados em Newark, Nova Jérsei

No dia 2 de outubro, 5 jovens, 1 senhora e um casal dedicaram suas vidas a servir o Senhor Jesus

A Igreja Cristã Maranata em Nova Jérsei celebrou o batismo nas águas de 8 novos membros no dia 2 de outubro de 2021. Cinco jovens, uma senhora e um casal foram batizados durante o culto especial na Igreja de Newark, que contou com a presença de 250 participantes. 

Os membros da igreja transformaram a área de estacionamento, no andar debaixo do templo, num verdadeiro batistério. Conforme explicou o Pastor Gerson Beluci Miguel, toda a congregação se mobilizou com os preparativos, desde a montagem dos equipamentos, som, instrumentos musicais, assentos e outros. Medidas de mitigação da Covid-19 foram adotadas.

“É gratificante ver a determinação dos nossos jovens e das novas vidas que se achegaram a nós durante a pandemia. Nosso trabalho Evangelístico não parou, Deus nos concedeu grandes experiências nos últimos meses, e estamos colhendo os frutos das nossas orações”, destacou o Pastor Gerson Beluci Miguel.

Logo após o batismo, toda a Igreja participou de um Culto de Ceia.

A Igreja Cristã Maranata em Newark está localizada no endereço 95-97 St Francis St., Newark, NJ 07105, com cultos presenciais aos sábados e domingos às 7:30 pm (19:30h); Escola Bíblica Dominical aos domingos, 10:30 am; e às terças e quintas às 8 pm (20h).
