“And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.”

The Maranatha Christian Church Sunday Bible School held on February 15, 2026, was broadcast live from the Mahanaim de Domingos Martins in Espírito Santo, Brazil. The service counted on the participation of Pastors Alexandre Gueiros, Gilson Sousa, and Diniz Cypreste.

A Prophetic Beginning

Pastor Gilson Sousa greeted the church and testified that from the very beginning, the Lord revealed what He desired to accomplish during this study. Among the revelations:

  • A golden scroll opened over the pulpit, indicating three prepared moments: deliverance, healing, and praise.
  • A great light shining upon the Word of God, revealing hidden treasures of Scripture.
  • A golden cord uniting pastors and churches in one fellowship.
  • Drops of blood falling into hearts, symbolizing life and abundant life through Jesus.

The foundational text was Exodus 28:2–6, which introduces the holy garments of the High Priest, made “for glory and for beauty.”

The Priestly Garments: A Prophetic Revelation of Christ

Pastor Diniz Cypreste spoke about the prophetic meaning of the High Priest’s garments. The Law and the Tabernacle were shadows of good things to come (Hebrews 10:1), all pointing to the Lord Jesus, our eternal High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek (Hebrews 7).

The garments were made of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine linen:

  • Gold – The eternal glory of the Lord Jesus.
  • Purple – His royal dignity (revealed in Matthew).
  • Scarlet – His suffering as the Servant (revealed in Mark).
  • Fine linen – His perfect humanity (revealed in Luke).
  • Blue – His heavenly origin as the Word made flesh (revealed in John).

In the ephod, all threads were interwoven with gold, showing the perfect union of divinity and humanity in Christ.

Sustained by His Power and Love

The ephod’s shoulder pieces bore onyx stones engraved with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, representing how Christ carries His people upon His shoulders in strength and power (Isaiah 53:4–5).

The breastplate of judgment, placed over the heart, also contained twelve stones engraved with names, symbolizing love. If the shoulders speak of power, the breast speaks of love. We are sustained by His strength and kept by His love.

The Urim and Thummim, placed within the breastplate, revealed the Lord’s will. Today, through our High Priest, we experience this reality and rest securely in His eternal love.

Holiness to the Lord

Pastor Alexandre Gueiros continued, highlighting the golden plate on the turban engraved with “HOLINESS TO THE LORD” (Exodus 28:36). This revealed the holy thoughts and perfect obedience of Jesus to the Father.

Even our best offerings fall short of God’s holiness, but Christ intercedes for us, sanctifying our worship so that it may be accepted. He completes what is lacking in us.

The golden chains connecting the garments spoke of the harmony of Christ’s character and work—everything perfectly aligned to accomplish our salvation.

The Day of Atonement: The Fulfillment

On the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16), the High Priest entered the Most Holy Place wearing only white linen garments. This pointed prophetically to Christ’s humiliation and sacrifice on the cross.

Stripped of visible glory, He offered Himself as the perfect Lamb of God. His sacrifice was made once and for all—complete and eternally sufficient. Salvation is entirely the work of God; we add nothing to it. We serve Him not to be saved, but because we have been saved.

The Risen and Glorified High Priest

The story did not end at the cross. On the third day, Jesus rose again, and His glory was restored. Today, He is at the right hand of the Father, clothed in garments of glory and beauty, living forever to intercede for us (Romans 8:33–34; Hebrews 7:24–26).

In His prayer (John 17), He expressed His desire that we behold—and share in—His glory.

We know not only the history of Jesus, but the risen and glorified Christ, our eternal High Priest.
