Members Gather from Across the United States for a Day of Learning and Fellowship

Maranatha Christian Church (MCC) held a General Seminar in Massachusetts, bringing together members from churches across the United States, as well as visitors and pastors from other denominations.

Hosted at Framingham High School, the event was marked by doctrinal instruction, worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth. Throughout the day, participants received teachings focused on the Work of the Holy Spirit and the foundations of the faith.

Church Leaders Deliver Doctrinal Teachings to the Congregation

MCC President Pastor Alexandre Gueiros taught morning and afternoon classes via videoconference from Canada, where he had recently participated in the Church’s seminar. Pastors Diniz Cypreste and Gilson Sousa, members of the Presbytery Council, attended in person, sharing doctrinal teachings and meeting with pastors serving throughout the United States.

The seminar lessons emphasized the characteristics of the Work of the Holy Spirit, the importance of preserving the ancient landmarks of the faith, and evangelism through spiritual gifts. Participants also joined the Sunday Bible School broadcast transmitted directly from Maanaim in Espírito Santo, Brazil.

Additional teachings addressed the group of intercession, salvation, and instrumentality, the limits established by the Holy Spirit, the Spiritual Decline Syndrome, and life within the Body of Christ. Classes were taught in Portuguese with simultaneous interpretation in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

Visitors Express Appreciation for the Doctrinal Teachings

Visiting pastors were deeply impressed by the depth and soundness of the doctrinal instruction and expressed their desire to apply the lessons learned within their own congregations.

A police officer assigned by the City of Framingham to assist during the event also attended one of the classes, received pastoral assistance, and expressed interest in bringing his family to a future church service.

Children, Intermediates, and Adolescents Participate in Special Activities

Children and intermediate classes received age-appropriate doctrinal instruction while participating in educational and interactive activities and praise rehearsals.

Adolescents attended the general seminar teachings and also enjoyed opportunities for fellowship and interaction through activities held in the school’s gymnasium.

At the conclusion of the seminar, all classes joined the congregation in singing a hymn about the return of Jesus Christ.

Volunteers Serve with Dedication Throughout the Event

The seminar was also marked by the dedication of volunteers who served in numerous areas, including equipment setup, event coordination, traffic management, school maintenance and cleaning, food service, classroom support, projection, sound, and worship ministries.

Their technical preparation, spiritual commitment, and willingness to serve contributed to a well-organized event that blessed participants throughout the day.

Seminar Concludes with Encouragement for the Churches

Pastor Humberto Henriques, coordinator of MCC in North America, highlighted the richness of the new teachings presented during the seminar and expressed confidence that they will bear fruit throughout the churches in the months ahead.

The Massachusetts Seminar concluded with gratitude to the Lord for a day of instruction, fellowship, worship, and spiritual edification for believers across North America.
