The Maranatha Christian Church Sunday Bible School on January 18, 2026, was held live from Mahanaim in Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo, Brazil, with Pastors Gilson Sousa, Antônio Carlos Rodrigues de Oliveira, and Gerson Beluci participating.

Jesus Revealed Through the Tabernacle

The study focused on the revelation of the Lord Jesus through the Tabernacle in the wilderness, based on Hebrews 9:2, emphasizing that all its elements prophetically point to Christ and to the work He accomplished on the cross of Calvary.

Pastor Antônio Carlos de Oliveira highlighted that the altar of burnt offerings represented the blessings secured for the believer, allowing full fellowship with God through the sacrifice of Jesus. From the door of the Tabernacle to the Most Holy Place, every step revealed God’s plan of redemption and communion with His people.

The Laver of Bronze and Sanctification

Pastor Gilson Sousa taught about the bronze laver, used exclusively by the priests for washing their hands and feet. This act symbolized continual purification and daily sanctification. Made from polished bronze mirrors, the laver prophetically represents the Word of God as a mirror, revealing the believer’s spiritual condition and calling for reflection and transformation.

The priesthood was also emphasized, underscoring that today believers belong to the family of the High Priest, Jesus Christ, and are called to offer spiritual sacrifices pleasing to God (Hebrews 13:15).

The Holy Place and Its Furnishings

The study continued with the Table of Showbread, which points to Jesus as the Bread of Life, and the Lampstand, made of beaten gold, representing Christ as the only true light of the church and the perfect work of God through the Spirit’s operation.

The coverings of the Tabernacle revealed aspects of Christ’s glory, holiness, sacrifice, and humanity. The Altar of Incense, placed before the veil of the Most Holy Place, symbolized worship and intercession that rise to God through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus.

Priestly Consecration and Service

Pastor Gerson Beluci explained the consecration of the priests, emphasizing the application of blood on the ear, hand, and foot. These elements symbolized hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit, performing God’s work, and walking in His ways. The teaching reinforced the believer’s calling to live a sanctified, Spirit-led life as a priest of the New Testament.

Through the Tabernacle, the Lord Jesus is revealed as the sacrifice, the light, the bread, and the intercessor. Today, the church partakes of His life, walks in the light of His Word, and offers a continual sacrifice of praise to the glory of God.
