“And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.”

  • New Year’s Eve Vigils Become a Spiritual Celebration Across North America

The New Year’s Eve vigil services held at the Maranatha Christian Churches in Canada and the United States became a true spiritual celebration. Members and many visitors gathered for this special moment in the presence of the Almighty God. In some locations, Maranatha churches were the only temples open for the passing-of-the-year service, drawing visitors from other Christian denominations.

During the services, the congregations received the New Year message broadcast from the president of the Maranatha Christian Church, Pastor Alexandre Gueiros, strengthening faith, unity, and hope among God’s people.

Hearts were filled with gratitude for the year that had come to an end and with expectation of the heavenly blessing in the year that had begun. The churches were filled with lives touched by worship and spiritual gifts, as believers began the new year at the feet of the Savior, confident that there will be a tabernacle for God’s people.

The theme for 2026, on Isaiah 4:6, brought great joy and reassurance, affirming that the same Lord who cared for His servants will continue to grant renewal, protection, deliverance, comfort, and victories in the year ahead.

In light of the current global scenario, the Lord also rekindled in many hearts the longing for the soon and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Maranatha! The Lord Jesus is Coming!
